Hi everyonE! I’d like to share a preview of my protocol.
This protocol challenges the conventional wisdom around growth hormone (rhGH) use for fat loss, specifically the widely recommended 3-5 daily injections of rhGH and the practice of combining GH with fasted cardio.
Protocol Overview: rhGH for Lipolysis
Author: Type-IIx
Daily Exercise:
- Timing: Ideally, administer a single large bolus (≥3 IU) of rhGH 2-3 hours before your workout for optimal lipolysis.
- Why a Single Bolus? Studies have shown that a single, higher dose of rhGH (6 mcg/kg body weight) produces a more significant increase in lipolysis markers such as 3-hydroxy-butyrate and glycerol, as compared to multiple smaller doses. This bolus promotes fat breakdown and the release of free fatty acids (FFAs) in the bloodstream.
- A study [6] found a positive correlation between peak GH concentration and increased lipolysis (r=0.65).
- Another study [40] showed a strong link between the GH response to exercise and the rise in glycerol post-exercise (r=0.57, p<0.04).
- Additionally, [69] demonstrated that a single subcutaneous (s.c.) bolus was more effective at increasing nocturnal FFA liberation compared to multiple smaller doses.
Post-Workout:
- After your workout (around 4-4.5 hours post-bolus), FFA liberation follows a cyclical pattern over the following 24 hours.
- Pattern of FFA Liberation: Research has shown that FFA release peaks before meals and drops significantly after eating. This rhythmic pattern supports the notion that GH-induced lipolysis is enhanced during fasting or between meals.
Additional Notes:
- The benefits of using rhGH for fat loss seem to be maximized with a large, single dose rather than multiple small doses throughout the day.
- The timing of the GH bolus is key: a pre-workout injection supports exercise-induced fat breakdown, and the rhythmic release of FFAs post-injection can further promote fat utilization.
Have you experimented with rhGH for fat loss, or tried variations of bolus dosing? I’d love to hear about your experiences and results. Share your insights below!
