From Massing to Shredding – 8 Weeks Out Check-In

Hey everyone,

It’s been a while since my last update — the first half of the year was a blur of training, dialing in my diet, and adjusting to the cycle. I wanted to check back in and document where things are now as prep is officially underway. Decided to start new thread, believe I’ll be more disciplined this time.

Cycle Update:​

  • Test E: 250mg
  • Primo E: 500mg
  • Anavar: rotated in pre-workout (10–20mg depending on session)
  • Just added low-dose HGH (2iu AM) — coach suggested it as we move deeper into prep.

Training:​

Still running Pull / Push / Legs split with a rest day after every 3 sessions. Volume is high, but recovery feels solid.

  • Strength has plateaued a little, which is expected with prep tightening up, but pumps and endurance are still great.
  • Cardio increased to 5x/week (3 LISS, 2 HIIT).

Diet (current prep macros):​

  • Off Days: 260P / 275C / 55F
  • Training Days: 270P / 425C / 40F
  • High-Carb Refeed (once per week): 240P / 700C / 30F
Weight has come down from 83.5kg in June to 79.2kg this week, with lines starting to come in around the midsection and quads.

Supplements:​

Still running the same health stack (citrus bergamot, astragalus, berberine, omega-3s, etc.). Added:

  • NAC 1200mg/day
  • Tudca 500mg/day (to support liver — my ALT was slightly elevated on bloodwork).

Bloodwork (Aug 28, 2025):​

  • ALT: 36 (slightly above range)
  • AST: 31.6 (normal)
  • Lipids: atherogenic index slightly high → keeping an eye on it
  • Vitamin D: 41 (solid)
  • Folate: low-normal → supplementing 800mcg/day now

Current Goal:​

Coach wants me at 76–77kg stage weight. We’re about 8 weeks out, so the real grind begins now.

Feeling excited but also nervous — energy is lower than in the massing phase, but seeing physique changes daily keeps me locked in.

Would love to hear any tips from those who’ve run Primo through prep — did you notice smoother conditioning, or do you think it mainly just helps with fullness?
