My Test/Anavar Recomp Cycle Log

Hey everyone!

I’m doing a recomp phase with a combination of testosterone, Anavar, and other compounds to help maintain or increase muscle mass while reducing body fat. Below are the specifics:

Cycle Details:
- Weeks 1-12:
- 200mg Testosterone Enanthate (TE) twice a week (400mg total per week)
- Weeks 5-12:
- 12.5mg Anavar twice a day (25mg total per day)
- Weeks 6-12:
- 25mg Anavar twice a day (50mg total per day)
- Weeks 1-12:
- 10mg Cardarine (GW501516) daily, to assist with fat loss and endurance.
- Aromatase Inhibitor (AI):
- Arimidex 0.5mg every other day as needed, to manage estrogen levels (monitoring for side effects like water retention or gyno).

- TRT Cruise (Post-Cycle):
- After completing the cycle, I plan to cruise on EP’s TRT protocol, which includes 200mg TE and 200mg Masteron (Mast) once a week.
- I’ll also add 20mg Ostarine (MK-2866) daily to help maintain muscle mass during the cruise phase.

Additional Notes:
- Diet: I’m following a clean, high-protein diet with a slight calorie deficit to help with fat loss while preserving muscle.
- Training: My training program is focused on strength and hypertrophy, with an emphasis on compound movements to maximize muscle growth.

I’ll be checking in periodically to update on progress and how I’m feeling throughout the cycle.
 
Cardarine is underrated! You’ll notice better endurance during workouts, and fat will melt off.

Quick update since my recomp earlier this year — I’ve wrapped that up successfully and have been maintaining nicely on a TRT cruise. Now I’m ready to shift gears and start a lean bulk phase, aiming to add quality size while minimizing fat gain. I’ve adjusted my protocol and wanted to share what I’m running this time around.


Cycle Overview (Lean Bulk Focus)


Weeks 1–14:


  • Testosterone Cypionate – 250mg twice per week (500mg total)
  • Nandrolone Decanoate (Deca) – 200mg per week
  • Primobolan (Primobolan Depot) – 300mg per week (for quality muscle and lower sides)
  • MK-677 (Ibutamoren) – 25mg daily (GH secretagogue for sleep, recovery, and appetite support)
  • Aromatase Inhibitor (AI) – Arimidex 0.5mg twice per week, adjusted based on bloodwork and symptoms

Supporting Compounds:


  • Cabergoline – 0.25mg twice per week (to manage prolactin levels from Deca)
  • NAC + TUDCA – for liver and general health support
  • Omega-3s, Vitamin D, Magnesium, and Zinc – foundational micronutrient support

Training & Diet:


  • Training Focus: Higher volume split — push/pull/legs x2 per week, emphasizing progressive overload and full range of motion. Added in some metabolic work for nutrient partitioning.
  • Diet: Eating ~300–400 kcal above maintenance, with 1g protein per lb body weight, and rotating carbs based on training intensity (high on leg/back days). Keeping fats moderate.

Goals This Phase:


  • Add 6–8lbs of lean tissue over 14 weeks
  • Improve recovery and sleep quality
  • Maintain insulin sensitivity and cardiovascular health
  • Stay within 10–12% body fat by end of cycle

Post-Cycle Plan:


I’ll transition back into TRT + Primo or Mast, depending on how I respond to the bulk. I’ll also taper off MK-677 gradually and clean up bloods before considering another phase.
