Why I Don't Use Tren Anymore – And Never Will Again

If you've been in the bodybuilding scene long enough, you've probably heard the warnings: Trenbolone (Tren) is often considered the most powerful anabolic steroid, but it's also notorious for its intense side effects, both physical and psychological. For me, after years of use, I've reached a point where I can no longer ignore the toll it has taken on my body and mind.

The Appeal – And the Downside
Like many others, I used Tren in the past—often at high doses—and for a time, it worked wonders. Strength gains were impressive, fat loss was noticeable, and muscle growth was undeniable. I even had periods where I could use it without the extreme side effects. But over time, things started to change. Now, even small doses (like 100mg of Tren E per week) bring about problems like high blood pressure, poor lipid profiles, and cognitive dysfunction. My mood swings became uncontrollable, and I started feeling like a different person—irritable, aggressive, and disconnected from reality.

The Science Behind It

You might have heard about the study from Shandong University in China that explored the impact of Tren on the brain. The researchers found that Trenbolone caused the accumulation of beta-amyloid plaques in the brain—plaques that are widely associated with Alzheimer's disease. This isn't just theory; these findings are backed by scientific research showing how Tren can have long-term, damaging effects on brain health. In fact, they discovered that Tren not only causes plaque buildup but also leads to significant neuronal damage. Yes, it actually kills brain cells.

My Personal Experience

After years of using Tren, I noticed a shift. My cognitive function has not been the same. I feel foggy, unfocused, and detached from the person I was before. While there are many factors at play in terms of mental health and neurodegeneration, the effects of Tren on my brain are undeniable. For me, it's simply not worth the risk anymore. The strength gains and muscle growth it provided are overshadowed by the lasting damage it caused, especially considering the potential link to Alzheimer's and irreversible cognitive decline.

Is There Any Hope?

The good news is that Alzheimer's research is advancing rapidly. New studies are exploring ways to clear the beta-amyloid plaques from the brain, with promising treatments on the horizon. In fact, there's a growing body of research focused on reversing or preventing some of the damage caused by these neurodegenerative processes. That said, the potential for future treatments doesn't change the fact that the damage from Tren might already be done. For me, I no longer want to risk further brain cell death or the cognitive decline associated with long-term use. It’s a personal choice, and I know some people may not be as concerned or may not feel the same effects. But after experiencing it firsthand, I can confidently say it's not worth it.

Your Turn
I’d love to hear from others who have used Tren. Have you experienced similar side effects? Or did you handle it better than I did? Share your thoughts and experiences—I think it’s important for us to keep learning from one another in the bodybuilding community.
