If you're new to the world of anabolic-androgenic steroids (AAS) and fitness forums, you might be feeling overwhelmed by all the terminology thrown around. One of the biggest challenges for newcomers is understanding the lingo that experienced users often assume everyone knows. To help with that, I’ve compiled a list of essential terms and abbreviations that you’ll frequently encounter in discussions about AAS. AAS – Anabolic Androgenic Steroids
A-bomb – Anadrol
Ace – Acetate ester
Adex – Arimidex/Anastrozole
AI – Aromatase Inhibitor
Ancillaries – Drugs used to mitigate the side effects of steroids, including AIs, anti-progestins (APs), DHT blockers, acne medications, and others like HCG
AP – Anti-Progestin
Aro – Aromasin
BA – Benzyl Alcohol
BB – Benzyl Benzoate
BF% – Body Fat Percentage
Barrel – The main body of a syringe
Blast – Term for running a steroid cycle
Bold – Equipoise (Boldenone Undecylenate)
Caber – Cabergoline
CC – Cubic Centimeter (equivalent to mL)
Cruise – A lower dose of testosterone used during periods between cycles (often higher than TRT levels)
Cyp – Cypionate ester (a form of testosterone)
DA – Dopamine Agonist (used to treat prolactin-related side effects)
DHT – Dihydrotestosterone
Dbol – Dianabol (Methandrostenolone), an oral steroid
Deca – Nandrolone Decanoate
E2 – Estradiol (a form of estrogen)
ED – Every Day
EOD – Every Other Day
E3D – Every Third Day
EO – Ethyl Oleate
Estro – Estrogen
EQ – Equipoise (Boldenone Undecylenate)
HCG – Human Chorionic Gonadotropin
HRT – Hormone Replacement Therapy
IU – International Unit
Jug – A larger vial, usually 20ml or more
Letro – Letrozole, an aromatase inhibitor
Mast. – Masteron (Drostanolone)
ML – Milliliter
MG – Milligram
Natty – Natural, someone not using steroids
Nolva – Nolvadex (Tamoxifen), a SERM
NPP – Nandrolone Phenylpropionate
PCT – Post Cycle Therapy
Pin – The needle or act of injecting
PIP – Post Injection Pain
Prop – Propionate ester (often refers to testosterone propionate)
SARM – Selective Androgen Receptor Modulator
Slin Pin – Insulin syringe
Scrip – Prescription
SERM – Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulator
Stan – Winstrol (Stanozolol)
Sub-q – Subcutaneous injection (under the skin)
Tamo – Tamoxifen (a SERM)
Tbol – Turinabol (4-Chlorodehydromethyltestosterone)
TPP – Testosterone Phenylpropionate
TNE – Testosterone No Ester
TRT – Testosterone Replacement Therapy
Var – Anavar (Oxandrolone), an oral steroid
Winny – Winstrol (Stanozolol)
