Hey all,
I’ve been following a lot of logs here over the past month, and I decided it’s time to start my own. My name’s John, and I’ve been serious about lifting since high school (ninth grade to be specific). I’m currently 22 years old, and after being consistent with my diet for about six months, I’ve made significant progress. I’ve transitioned from 180 pounds at 25% body fat to 220 pounds at 24% body fat. I’m now focusing on a cut and thought I’d share my journey here.

Current Stats:
- Age: 22
- Height: 5'10"
- Weight: 210 lbs
- Body Fat: 24% (rough estimate)

Cycle & Supplementation:
Three weeks ago, I started my cut at 220 pounds and added a few SARMs to help with the process. Here’s what my stack looks like:

- Enclomiphene: 6.25 mg daily
- Rad-150: 10 mg daily
- YK-11: 5 mg daily

I began by reducing my calories from 3400 (maintenance) to 2400 to start the cut. By last week, I bumped up my doses:

- Enclomiphene: 12.5 mg daily
- Rad-150: 15 mg daily
- YK-11: 10 mg daily

After increasing my dosages, my weight dropped to 214 lbs pretty quickly, which I’m assuming is a mix of fat loss and water weight. I’ve also been doing 30 minutes of fasted cardio every morning, along with my physical labor job (pouring concrete), so activity levels are high.

Upcoming Cycle Adjustments:
Starting Monday, I’ll be increasing the dosages again for the final two weeks of my cut. The new doses will be:

- Enclomiphene: 18.75 mg daily
- Rad-150: 20 mg daily
- YK-11: 15 mg daily

Goals:
- Strength: I’ve lost some strength during my speed and conditioning program, and I want to regain some of that. I used to bench 245 lbs for a single, and 185 lbs for 9 reps (5x5). Right now, my numbers are down to 160 lbs for 4x4, and 185 lbs for 2 reps (with 190 lbs being a struggle).
- Body Composition: I want to cut down to around 185 lbs and get to about 12% body fat.

Additional Questions & Requests:
1. Cycle Recommendations: Once this cutting cycle is over, I’d appreciate some advice on what type of cycle to run when I begin the next cut while on cycle. I’m aiming to step on stage at around 24 or 25, so I want to be strategic with how I handle future cycles.
2. Cardio & Heart Health: I’ve been doing cardio regularly, but I’m concerned about the impact on my heart. Since the heart is a muscle, will all this cardio potentially enlarge my heart? I’ve read mixed things, and it’s a bit of a worry for me while on gear. I don’t want to risk heart problems or anything serious.
3. Training Suggestions: I’m currently in a hotel with limited equipment (just dumbbells and a bench). Could anyone share a solid leg workout I can do today and a chest workout for tomorrow? I’d really appreciate it.

Diet:
I’ve been sticking to a calorie deficit, but I adjust my intake weekly depending on progress. For reference, my macros for the last few weeks have been around 2400 calories with a breakdown of roughly 40% protein, 35% carbs, and 25% fat.

Thanks for the support. Any advice, feedback, or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated!

For the next cycle, try focusing on more compounds for fat loss and recovery—just don’t go too heavy. Keep it smart.

Log Update – May 19, 2025

Hey everyone,

It’s been about two and a half months since my last update, so I figured it was time to check in with how things have been going. I stuck to my cut hard through March and April, and now that I’m transitioning into a lean bulk (more on that below), I wanted to give an honest rundown of what’s worked, what didn’t, and what’s next.

Current Stats:

  • Weight: 193 lbs
  • Body Fat: ~14-15% (estimated via calipers + mirror)
Progress Overview:

When I started this cut in February, I was hovering around 220 lbs at ~24% body fat. After dialing in the SARMs and cutting calories aggressively, my body responded well. I leaned out quicker than I expected, although strength did take a bit of a hit, especially on the bench.

My final dosages in mid-March were:

  • Enclomiphene: 18.75 mg/day
  • Rad-150: 20 mg/day
  • YK-11: 15 mg/day

I held those dosages through the last two weeks of March. By April 1st, I was at 198 lbs, much tighter in the midsection, and vascularity started popping in my arms and quads. Strength was down about 10-15% across most lifts, but the trade-off was worth it.

At the end of April, I tapered off YK-11 first (due to some mild joint discomfort), and phased out Rad-150 after 6 weeks total. I kept Enclomiphene for a couple weeks after that to maintain test production while transitioning off the stack. No crash so far.

Training:

Still working that physical labor job (concrete work), which basically counts as another cardio session most days. I cut back on fasted cardio to 3x/week in April because I was feeling a bit rundown. Started integrating more hypertrophy-focused training with time under tension and better volume tracking.

In terms of hotel workouts — big thanks to everyone who dropped suggestions back in March. I made it work with just dumbbells and a bench by focusing on unilateral movements, time under tension, and high reps (12–20). The dumbbell Bulgarian split squats were brutal but effective. Chest-wise, tempo presses and flyes kept me growing.

Nutrition Update:

I’ve been slowly increasing calories over the past 3 weeks, currently sitting around 2700–2800 daily. Macro split is now roughly:

  • Protein: 40%
  • Carbs: 40%
  • Fat: 20%

Still keeping things clean — mostly whole foods, meal prepping every 3 days. I’ll admit I had one bad weekend where I went off-plan pretty hard, but it didn’t set me back much. Just water retention and some bloat. Cleared out in a couple days.

What’s Next:

I’m aiming to do a clean lean bulk through summer, hoping to sit around 200–205 lbs by August while staying sub-15% body fat. I’ll keep cardio 2–3x per week and might consider another mild cycle later this summer depending on bloodwork and recovery.

Next Cycle Planning (Looking Ahead to Fall):

I’m looking at something like:

  • LGD-4033 (Ligandrol): 5–10 mg/day
  • MK-677: 10–15 mg/day (likely evening use for GH + sleep)
  • Enclomiphene: As needed for support
Still weighing whether I should run low TRT-level test alongside or stay with SARMs only — open to input here.

Strength Update:

  • Bench: Back to 185 for 4x5
  • Squat (Dumbbell, Goblet-style): 90 lbs x 12
  • Pull-ups: Bodyweight x 10 (up from 6)

Not huge numbers, but definitely climbing again post-cut.

Health Notes / Heart Concerns:

Appreciate the replies on heart size/cardiac hypertrophy. I did a bit more digging, and yeah — some enlargement from regular cardio is normal and usually beneficial (eccentric hypertrophy). The main concern comes from concentric hypertrophy driven by chronic high BP or stimulant abuse, which I’m watching closely. Keeping caffeine under 300 mg/day, no pre-workouts right now. BP sits around 122/76 on average.

Planning to get a basic echocardiogram and bloodwork next month just to stay ahead of any issues.

Big Takeaways:

  • The cut worked. SARMs helped, but I was disciplined with diet, too.
  • Recovery went smoother than expected.
  • Lean bulk is underway, aiming for clean muscle gains through the summer.
  • Health stays the #1 priority.

Appreciate all the advice and support from this group. You all helped keep me accountable. Let’s keep pushing forward.

Solid work, man. Dropping from 220 to 193 while holding onto muscle is no joke. Sounds like the RAD-150 and YK-11 really did their job. You planning to run them again, or leaning more toward test for your next cycle?

Appreciate the honest take on YK-11. A lot of people either love it or say it wrecks their joints. When you say “mild discomfort,” what exactly do you mean? Just aches, or were you feeling sharp pains? Debating throwing it into my next cut but still on the fence.

2700–2800 calories at 193 with your job and cardio sounds like you're close to maintenance already. Keep an eye on your weekly average weight. If fat creeps up, carb cycling or a mini-cut might help mid-bulk.
