I thought I’d share my personal experience and insights regarding this compound. Before diving in, I want to emphasize that 1-test cyp is not for beginners. It’s crucial to have a solid understanding of steroids and how they interact before using this compound.
Background on 1-Test Cyp (DHB)
To clear up some confusion right away, 1-test cyp is not testosterone, despite the name. The compound is actually Dihydroboldenone (DHB), a 5α-reduced form of boldenone (often known as EQ). Unlike boldenone, 1-test does not aromatize, so you won’t experience water retention or gynecomastia concerns. This makes it a potentially excellent choice for contest prep. Think of it as somewhat analogous to DHT, the 5α-reduced form of testosterone, but with distinct differences in its effects.
Key Benefits of 1-Test Cyp (DHB):
• Non-aromatizing: No concerns about gyno or water retention, making it ideal for contest prep.
• Highly anabolic: The androgenic/anabolic ratio is 200:100, giving it massive potential for lean muscle growth. It seems to bind strongly to androgen receptors, possibly outcompeting testosterone in your cycle (similar to trenbolone).
• Minimal androgenic effects: I didn’t experience common side effects like oily skin, hair loss, or high blood pressure. It seems relatively mild in terms of toxicity, with no significant liver or kidney stress.
• Enhanced vascularity: Much better than EQ, in my experience. I noticed extreme vascularity that only increased as the cycle progressed.
• Fat-burning effects: Interestingly, even while in a calorie surplus, I noticed a reduction in body fat, a benefit I haven’t seen with other compounds. This suggests it may have some lipolytic properties.
My First 1-Test Cyp Cycle
Based on my experience, here's how I would recommend structuring a 1-test cyp cycle for first-time users:
Cycle Plan:
• Weeks 1-4: Oral (choose based on your goals, such as Tbol, Dbol, or Adrol)
• Weeks 1-14: 500mg/week Test C
• Weeks 1-14: 500mg/week 1-test C (DHB)
• Weeks 15-17: Test P taper (100mg EOD)
• Weeks 1-17: 50mg Proviron daily (AM/PM)
• PCT: Protocol of your choice
Cycle Notes:
1. Oral Kickstart: Adding an oral for the first 4 weeks can help speed up visible results, as 1-test cyp has a slow start (typically noticeable by week 7). Tbol, Dbol, or Adrol are good options based on whether you’re looking for a leaner or bulkier effect.
2. Test Dosage: Since 1-test cyp binds strongly to androgen receptors, I recommend staying at 500mg of testosterone to avoid excessive aromatization. While 1-test may outcompete testosterone for the receptors, you don’t want to go too high on the test.
3. Tapering: Ending with a Test P taper helps ease the transition into PCT, but if it’s not to your preference, you can omit this step.
4. Proviron: I recommend including Proviron throughout the cycle. It can help control estrogenic effects and maintain a more dry, hard look, especially during cutting phases.
My Results from 1-Test Cyp
For my first cycle, I ran the following:
• Weeks 1-14: 400mg Test C
• Weeks 1-14: 500mg 1-test C (DHB)
• HGH: 4 IU/day
• Weeks 4-14: Arimidex 0.25mg E3D
Results were impressive. I gained about 9 lbs of solid muscle while reducing body fat by 3%. I also experienced significant improvements in vascularity, muscle hardness, and strength. My shoulders increased by 2 inches, and I noticed a very polished, hard look to my physique, even at 9-10% body fat.
Interestingly, 1-test cyp did not cause the usual androgenic side effects I associate with other compounds, and I didn’t experience any PIP (post-injection pain). I had smooth injections with no irritation, but it's important to note that if you're sensitive to solvents like EO or guaiacol, this may not be the compound for you.
I also found that the compound worked best at 500mg, as increasing the dosage didn’t seem to offer additional benefits. It’s strong enough that there’s no need to push the dose beyond that.
1-Test as a Cutting Agent
Currently, I’m using 1-test cyp in preparation for a bodybuilding contest. This is an all-out cutting cycle, and I’ve noticed excellent results so far:
Current Cycle for Cutting:
• Weeks 1-14: 250mg Sustanon (split into 3 doses weekly)
• Weeks 1-14: 600mg Mast E
• Weeks 1-14: 500mg 1-test Cyp
• Weeks 7-14: 50mg Anavar daily
• Weeks 1-14: 50mg Proviron daily (AM/PM)
As of now, I’m about 7 weeks into the cycle, and things are really starting to shape up. I’ve lost 6 lbs of fat and gained 2 lbs of lean muscle mass, with vascularity increasing noticeably. I’m focusing on keeping my calories low (around 1900/day), and my water intake has gone up to 1.5 gallons daily to support the cycle.
