Test Prop Taper: A Game Changer for PCT

Hey all! I thought it would be helpful to share my experience here with "test prop taper" method. Personally, incorporating a prop taper at the end of my cycle has been a total game changer. It made transitioning into PCT and recovery much smoother, and I won't ever run another long ester cycle without it.

A common mistake I see is guys planning to start PCT just 14 or 15 days after their last shot of Test E. In my opinion, that's too soon. I have a separate post on this topic, and I'll link it at the end for those who want to dive deeper into the reasoning.

Here's how I typically do the taper:

1. Wait 1 week after your last Test E shot.
2. Start the prop taper:
- Week 1: 100mg EOD (Every Other Day)
- Week 2: 75mg EOD
- Week 3: 50mg EOD

This method spans 30 days after your last Test E injection, ensuring the testosterone is gradually cleared from your system. My pinning schedule looks like this:

- Week 1: Mon, Wed, Fri, Sat
- Week 2: Tue, Thu, Sat
- Week 3: Mon, Wed, Fri, Sat

After the taper, I wait 3 more days before starting my PCT, which means a total of 33 days from the last Test E shot.

I’ve seen some guys run 100mg EOD for three weeks straight, but in my experience, a true taper should gradually reduce testosterone levels to more natural levels before you start PCT. This taper made my PCT smoother, and my recovery was much easier—my sex drive didn’t crash as much as it usually does after a cycle.

I really believe the taper method is superior to just letting your testosterone levels drop abruptly. It helps maintain a more stable transition, especially for those newer to the process.

So, here’s my question to the community: Is it a good idea to encourage beginners (who have completed at least one or two cycles) to try a taper like this? By the end of your first cycle, you should have enough pinning experience to handle EOD shots for a few weeks, even if Test Prop causes a bit more PIP (Post Injection Pain). What do you think?

Yeah, I think the taper is something every intermediate or advanced user should consider, but I’d be cautious recommending it to complete beginners. It’s not just about pinning, you’ve got to keep track of your levels and make sure everything’s going according to plan. Prop can be tough on some people’s skin too, especially for those not used to frequent injections. But to your point, beginners should probably stick to the basics before trying more advanced strategies like this.
