Testosterone and Equipoise Cycle Log - 12 Weeks

Hello everyone,
I’m 42 years old, weigh 195lbs, and have an estimated body fat of around 15%. I’ve been on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) for about 15 months now and recently adjusted my TRT dose to 100mg of Testosterone Cypionate and 1mg of Anastrozole per week. I had blood work done yesterday to get baseline levels before I start my new cycle, and I'll update everyone on the results soon.
A little background: I’ve suspected for years that I had low testosterone, which probably contributed to the difficulty I had gaining muscle despite regular lifting. It wasn’t until later in life that I got my levels tested. After working with my doctor to dial in my TRT, I feel like I’m in a much better spot, but I’m now ready to take it a step further with my first real cycle.
My goals for this cycle are to gain lean muscle while avoiding drastic size increases (I’m not looking to blow up overnight and have people asking questions). My approach is going to be gradual and focused on steady, clean progress. I’m also cautious about side effects—especially since I’ve dealt with gynecomastia in the past—and I plan to do a “blast and cruise” type of cycle to stay within safer limits and avoid injury.
I also want to keep this process as safe and manageable as possible, which is why I’ve opted for a relatively conservative approach for my first cycle. Below is my plan, and I’m open to any feedback or suggestions from the community!

Cycle Plan (12 Weeks):
- Testosterone Cypionate: 250mg per week
- Boldenone Undecylenate (Equipoise): 500mg per week
- Turinabol: 20–40mg per day for 6–7 weeks (pending delivery)
- Anastrozole: 1mg per week (or as needed, depending on estrogen levels)
Gear:
- Test Cypionate 250 (Geneza Pharma)
- Boldenone 300 (Geneza Pharma)
- Turinabol 20 (Para Pharma) - On the way
- Arimidex 1mg (Para Pharma) - On the way
- Proviron 25 (Para Pharma) - On the way
- Anadrol 50 (Para Pharma) - On the way (just for future cycles)

I’m taking a conservative approach with the Turinabol to minimize sides and will run it for no longer than 7 weeks since I only have 100 pills. I’ll start it as soon as it arrives. I’m also considering adding in Proviron and Anadrol later down the line, but I’m keeping those for future cycles or in case I need to adjust my plan.
Injection Schedule:
- Monday: 250mg Boldenone (EQ)
- Thursday: 250mg EQ + 250mg Test Cypionate

I’m splitting the doses into two weekly injections to keep the blood levels more stable and make the most of the compounds.

Training Plan:
I follow a 6-day Push/Pull/Legs (PPL) split. Sometimes, I take an extra day off depending on how my body feels, but I always pick up where I left off. I’ve been focusing on proper form, lowering reps, and increasing the weight. Lately, I’ve also been experimenting with slow and controlled movements, as I feel this approach has been giving me solid results.

Diet:
This is where I’m really struggling. Nutrition has never been my strong suit, and I know I have a tendency to overindulge in junk food. I’m working on improving my diet by sticking to healthier, cleaner options, but it’s been a challenge. I’m aware that a good diet is essential for getting the most out of this cycle, so if anyone has tips or suggestions for someone who’s not great with meal planning, I’m all ears!

Final Thoughts:
Thanks to everyone who has been so welcoming and supportive on this forum. I’m excited to document my progress here and learn from all of you along the way. I know this post might be a bit rough, but I’m open to any advice or feedback as I start my cycle. I’ll be starting this cycle today! 💪👊

Week 6 Check-In

I’m now six weeks into the cycle, and overall, things are going really well. Weight is sitting at around 202 lbs, and I’m starting to look noticeably fuller in the upper chest, shoulders, and arms. Strength is up across the board, and I’m finally starting to feel that “on” feeling everyone talks about. Nothing crazy or unnatural-looking—just a solid, steady improvement, which is exactly what I wanted going into this.

Cycle Update

Still running the original plan:
  • 250mg Test Cyp / week
  • 500mg Boldenone (EQ) / week
  • Turinabol: Started at 20mg/day, bumped up to 40mg/day after 10 days. I’m about 3.5 weeks in on it now, planning to stop at the 7-week mark as planned.
Also started Proviron at 25mg/day about a week ago to see how I respond. So far, I like it—libido and mood are both up, and I feel a bit drier, which is nice.

No signs of estrogen-related issues yet, so I’ve kept Anastrozole at 1mg/week. Bloods will confirm soon if that needs to change, but I’ve had zero bloat and no nipple sensitivity so far.

Training

Still sticking to the 6-day PPL split. Strength has gone up noticeably, especially in pressing movements. Bench is up about 15lbs already, and incline DBs feel way more solid than they did at the start of the cycle. I’m being careful not to chase ego lifts though—form is still the priority, and I’m doing lots of slow negatives and pause reps to stay injury-free.Back day has been the best recently—feeling a crazy mind-muscle connection and pumps are ridiculous lately. It’s probably a combo of the Turinabol and EQ doing their thing.

Diet

Nutrition’s still a bit of a work in progress, but I’ve made some changes that are helping. I cut way down on the junk and have been meal prepping 3-4 times a week to stay on track. Been keeping protein up (~220g/day), and carbs are around 350–400g, mostly from rice, oats, fruit, and potatoes. Fats are moderate, mainly from olive oil, eggs, and nuts.I’m not tracking macros super tight, but I’m eating way more consistently than before. It’s showing too—less bloat, more energy, and way better digestion overall. Still not perfect, but I’m improving every week.

Other Notes

  • Sleep has been solid—7-8 hours per night. Proviron might be helping with that too.
  • No sides so far worth mentioning—no hair loss, acne, or major mood swings. Libido is strong.
  • I’ve been keeping up with regular walks and light cardio 2x per week to help with appetite and general recovery.

What’s Next

I’ll continue with the current protocol through week 12 unless something changes. Still not planning to add Anadrol this cycle—it’s staying in the stash for now. I’m more focused on clean gains and learning how my body responds to these compounds before introducing anything stronger.
Bloodwork should be back next week, so I’ll post those results once they’re in. Really curious to see where everything’s sitting, especially E2 and hematocrit.
Also open to advice from anyone who's run a similar Test + EQ + Tbol cycle—curious how others structure PCT (or cruise) after something like this, especially if you’re staying on TRT long-term like I am.

Appreciate the support so far. Will post another update around week 8.

🔹 Week 9 Check-In – Lean, Strong, and Holding Steady

Hey everyone,
Checking back in for a Week 9 update — time’s flying, and things have been dialed in better than I honestly expected. I’m feeling strong, focused, and staying relatively lean despite being at my heaviest weight in years.

📊 Current Stats:

  • Weight: 206 lbs
  • Body Fat (rough est.): ~13–14%
  • Waist: unchanged from Week 1, which is a win in my book
  • Strength: up across all compounds, recovery time feels faster

💉 Cycle Update

Still running the same base:

  • Test Cypionate – 250mg/week
  • Boldenone (EQ) – 500mg/week
  • Turinabol – 40mg/day (Week 6.5 now, will stop at 7 weeks as planned)
  • Proviron – 25mg/day (Week 3 on it now)

Anastrozole: Still at 1mg/week. No visible estrogen issues so far, and bloodwork confirms that (more on that below).

📋 Bloodwork Results (Week 8):

Got my labs back last week. Here’s the big picture:

  • Total Test – 2,450 ng/dL
  • Free Test – high (didn’t write down the number, but flagged as elevated)
  • Estradiol (E2) – 31 pg/mL (within optimal range, considering the cycle)
  • Hematocrit – 51.2% (creeping up a bit, but still manageable)
  • Liver enzymes – slightly elevated, but nothing alarming
  • Lipid panel – HDL is down (as expected), LDL up a bit

All in all, nothing surprising — EQ is known to raise RBCs, and orals like Tbol will always nudge liver markers and lipids. I’m increasing water intake and adding some citrus bergamot + milk thistle just to play it safe. Will retest at Week 13.

🏋️ Training

Still rocking the 6-day PPL, and I’ve been experimenting more with higher-volume back and shoulder work, which EQ seems to respond well to.

  • Bench: up 25lbs from Week 1
  • DB Incline Press: now using 95s for 8–10 clean reps
  • Deadlift: hit 455 for 3 reps last week — smooth and controlled
  • Arm days have been wild lately — pumps from the Tbol + Proviron combo are no joke

Recovery has been fantastic. DOMS is less brutal, and I can push harder without feeling wrecked the next day. Still being smart with warm-ups, mobility, and keeping ego in check.

🍽️ Nutrition

Biggest win lately is consistency. Not tracking every gram, but I’ve got a rhythm going:

  • Protein: ~220–240g/day
  • Carbs: 350–400g/day (more on leg/back days)
  • Fats: 70–90g/day, mainly from eggs, olive oil, and nuts
  • Supps: Whey, creatine, vitamin D, fish oil, magnesium, citrus bergamot, milk thistle

Still meal prepping 3–4x per week and limiting processed foods. I’ve noticed better digestion and way fewer energy crashes throughout the day. Less junk = fewer excuses.

💬 Other Notes

  • Libido is still great — likely from Proviron boosting free test
  • No hair loss, acne, or gyno symptoms at all
  • Sleep’s been excellent (7–8hrs), vivid dreams some nights, but I feel rested
  • Energy/stress/mood = super stable
  • Cardio: 2x per week, 20-30 mins incline walking or bike post-lift

📅 What’s Next

Turinabol will be dropped at the end of this week (Week 7 on it). Noticing a slight drop in appetite and a little lower back tightness during heavy squats, so timing feels right.

I’ll continue with just Test + EQ + Proviron through Week 12.

After that, I’m planning to:

  • Cruise back down to TRT (100mg/week)
  • Possibly continue Proviron at a low dose if everything feels good
  • Take at least 12–16 weeks before considering another blast (maybe winter)

Also going to donate blood after the cycle ends to help manage hematocrit, which I’d recommend to anyone running EQ or anything that boosts RBCs long-term.

🙏 Thanks

Really appreciate the feedback and support from you guys so far. If anyone has experience with EQ on a cruise or advice for long-term TRT users looking to balance gains with health, I’d love to hear it. Always trying to learn and stay in this game for the long haul.

Will probably post a final cycle wrap-up around Week 12. Until then, I’m just putting in the work and staying consistent.

– 42 and feeling 30 again 💪

Man, this is textbook execution of a first cycle on TRT. Respect. Great to see you’re not chasing numbers and staying ahead of potential sides. Proviron is magic when it works — glad it’s treating you well. That 455 deadlift isn’t too shabby either!
