TRT and Dbol Log: Starting My Journey with Hormone Therapy and Dbol

Hey everyone,

I wanted to start a log to document my experiences with TRT (Testosterone Replacement Therapy) and Dbol, as I’ve been on TRT for a while now and just recently added Dbol into the mix. Hopefully, I’m posting this correctly!

About Me:

- Age: 53
- Training Experience: I've been training since 1991, focusing mostly on bench press, squats, and deadlifts. I also have a physically demanding job where I lift, push, and pull heavy tires 5 to 6 days a week—often working 10-12 hours a day.
- Max Lifts (1996-1998):
- Bench: 495 lbs
- Squat: 495 lbs
- Deadlift: 585 lbs

Cycle History (Going off Memory):

I’ll be honest—it’s tough remembering exact dosages from cycles I did 20+ years ago, but here’s the general timeline of what I used to run:

1. First Cycle (1990s):
- Dbol: 20mg/day
- Deca: 300mg/week
- Duration: 2 months
- Notes: I don’t remember all the specifics, but I definitely gained strength and size.

2. Second Cycle:
- Dbol: 20mg/day
- Testosterone Enanthate (T-E): 200mg/week
- Equipoise (EQ): 300-400mg/week
- Duration: 3 months
- Notes: Ran Dbol for 2 months, the rest for 3 months. Again, big gains in strength and size, but no post-cycle therapy (PCT) knowledge back then.

3. Third Cycle:
- EQ: 300-400mg/week
- Sustanon 250: 500mg/week
- Duration: 3 months
- Notes: This was a solid cycle that gave me good results, though I didn’t have proper PCT in place.

4. Fourth Cycle:
- Dbol: 20mg/day
- Sustanon 250: 500mg/week
- Deca: 300mg/week
- Duration: 3 months
- Notes: Dropped Dbol after 2 months. Still no proper PCT.

Back in the 90s, I didn’t know much about PCT. My information was mostly from a buddy who had some experience, and I didn’t have internet access to learn more.

Recent Training and Health Issues:

Up until a few years ago, I trained with just an Olympic bar and a set of plates (8 x 45s). I stuck to a basic routine for bench press, squats, and deadlifts, training on a fixed schedule—squats on Mondays, bench on Wednesdays, and deadlifts on Fridays. I stuck to this routine unless I was sick or on vacation. This routine worked for me for nearly two decades.

However, in 2020, I contracted COVID-19 and it hit me really hard. I was bedridden for 6 weeks, and during that time, I noticed testicular pain and testicular atrophy. The doctor confirmed it wasn’t cancer, but mentioned COVID could affect the testes and ovaries. I gained a lot of weight during this period and lost about 100% of the hair on my legs and 50% of my eyebrow hair. I also experienced joint pain, and my testosterone levels were severely low.

TRT Journey:

- Early 2022 Bloodwork:
- Testosterone: 330 ng/dL
- Estradiol (E2): ~8 pg/mL
- Libido: Nonexistent. No erections.

After my blood test, my doctor prescribed me Clomid (25mg 3x a week) and 120mg Test Cyp per week. This brought my testosterone up to about 660 ng/dL and my estradiol to around 32-35 pg/mL. However, the doctor wasn’t very helpful and was hard to deal with, so I eventually stopped seeing him.

Current Protocol:

- Testosterone (Cypionate): 140mg/week (subcutaneous)
- Dbol: Started 20mg/day on April 25, 2023
- No more Clomid (dropped it after stopping the doctor’s treatment)

I’ve been using Test C for quite some time now, and adding Dbol has made a noticeable difference in my mood and energy levels, as well as giving me some great pumps in the gym. I feel better, stronger, and more focused.

Diet:

Currently, I’m not tracking every calorie, but my general diet consists of whole foods and a high-protein intake. Here’s what a typical day looks like:

Training Days:
- Breakfast: 4 eggs, 60g oats, apple
- Morning: 200g chicken breast, 100g white rice, broccoli and carrots
- Afternoon: 60g protein powder, 100g white rice, broccoli and carrots
- Pre-Workout: 25g protein, 50g dextrose
- Post-Workout: 200g chicken breast, 150g white rice, broccoli and carrots

Off Days:
- Similar meals, but I skip the pre-workout dextrose and focus on getting more healthy fats.

I drink about 4-5 liters of water a day, rarely touch alcohol (only a shot or two occasionally), and I’ve completely quit energy drinks.

Supplements:
- Vitamin D3: 8000 IU
- Vitamin K2: 360mcg
- Magnesium: 400mg
- NAC: 1.5g
- TUDCA: 500mg
- Vitamin C: 4g
- Milk Thistle
- ZMA

Goals:
- Increase strength and lean muscle mass
- Manage my overall health
- Improve sleep (I’ve had terrible sleep quality for years)
- Learn how my body responds to cycles, especially in terms of managing E2, acne, and other potential side effects

I’m about 6 weeks into adding Dbol, and it’s definitely had an impact on my strength and pumps. I’ll continue to update with my progress.
Anyone Else with Similar Experiences?

If anyone has experience with TRT, Dbol, or has dealt with low testosterone or the effects of COVID on their training and hormone levels, I’d love to hear your experiences. Also, if you’ve used Clomid or PCT in the past, let me know what worked for you.
